Its 120Hz refresh rate and 4ms response time ensure that both static and fast-moving images are displayed with clarity, making it ideal for both professional and entertainment uses. This monitor stands out with its built-in speakers, which provide added functionality for users who prefer a space-efficient setup without the need for external audio devices. While it caters well to business applications, such as presentations or video calls, its specifications also position it well for casual gaming and multimedia consumption. It does not, however, feature a built-in camera, so users requiring video conferencing capabilities may need to consider additional peripherals. For those looking for reliable, consistent performance without the bells and whistles of higher-end gaming monitors, the iiyama ProLite X2797HSU-B1 offers a compelling choice. It strikes a balance between professional-grade capabilities and user-friendly features, perfect for everyday use in an office or home environment where clear visuals and decent audio are appreciated. While many monitors in the same price range may offer similar screen sizes or resolutions, the iiyama ProLite X2797HSU-B1's inclusion of a 120Hz refresh rate and IPS technology sets it apart from entry-level alternatives. This ensures smoother motion handling, particularly beneficial for fast-paced video playback or casual gaming, making it a versatile choice for users with varied needs. Additionally, the monitor's built-in speakers enhance its appeal as an all-in-one solution for small workspaces. Users who value audio without cluttering their desk with extra components will find this feature a significant advantage, especially compared to models that require additional speakers to deliver a full audio experience. Performance & Everyday Use Equipped with a native resolution of 1920 x 1080, the Full HD display ensures sharp and clear images, making it a suitable option for everything from document editing to streaming high-definition video. The IPS technology guarantees wide viewing angles and professional colour accuracy, which is essential for creative work that requires precise colour representation. The monitor's brightness of 350 cd/m² also supports a comfortable viewing experience in a range of lighting conditions. With ports including HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2, and multiple USB-C connections, this monitor offers flexibility for connectivity, catering well to modern workstations. The built-in USB hub allows easy access to peripherals, making file transfers a breeze. Additionally, the low blue light and flicker-free technologies help reduce eye strain during extended use, which is ideal for professionals working long hours. Weighing 4.0 kg and not height adjustable, the iiyama ProLite X2797HSU-B1 remains a reasonably portable option should you need to relocate your setup, although users looking for extensive ergonomic adjustments may find this a limitation.
