By accessing or using VantaSpec ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

VantaSpec is a PC hardware price comparison and community platform. We aggregate pricing information from UK retailers, display product specifications and benchmarks, and provide community features including reviews, forums, and build lists.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User-Generated Content

By posting reviews, forum threads, or other content, you:

  • Grant VantaSpec a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content on the platform.
  • Confirm that you own or have the right to post such content.
  • Agree not to post content that is abusive, hateful, defamatory, illegal, or spam.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or is otherwise inappropriate, at our sole discretion.

5. Pricing Information

Prices displayed on VantaSpec are collected from third-party retailers and may not always be accurate or up to date. We make reasonable efforts to keep pricing current but cannot guarantee accuracy. Always verify the final price on the retailer's website before purchasing.

6. Affiliate Links

Some links on VantaSpec are affiliate links. When you click these links and make a purchase, we may receive a commission. This does not affect the price you pay. Affiliate relationships do not influence product rankings. Prices are listed cheapest first, always, and no retailer can pay for a higher position. Our retailers page names every retailer we compare, states which of them pay us a commission, and sets out what our coverage does and does not include.

7. Intellectual Property

The VantaSpec name, logo, and website design are the property of FloatWeb. Product names, brands, and images belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.

8. Limitation of Liability

VantaSpec is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

  • Inaccurate pricing or product information.
  • Any losses resulting from purchases made through linked retailers.
  • Service downtime or data loss.
  • Actions of third-party retailers or service providers.

9. Prohibited Conduct

  • Automated scraping or data extraction from VantaSpec without permission.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorised access to accounts or systems.
  • Posting spam, malicious links, or harmful content.
  • Impersonating other users or organisations.
  • Using the Service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
