The iiyama ProLite X2797QSU-B1 is a 27-inch Quad HD monitor designed to provide a high-performance visual experience for business and professional use. With a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and an IPS panel, it delivers vibrant colours and sharp image quality, making it an excellent choice for office tasks such as presentations, spreadsheets, and content creation. Its flat-screen design enhances usability by allowing for consistent viewing angles, ensuring clarity from various positions. This monitor stands out in the competitive market of mid-range displays, particularly for its impressive refresh rate of 120Hz and rapid response time of 1ms. Such specifications are typically found in gaming monitors but are equally beneficial for fast-paced business applications, where crisp visuals and minimal motion blur enhance productivity. The inclusion of built-in speakers adds to its functionality without requiring additional accessories, making it a practical choice for users seeking a streamlined workspace. Aimed primarily at business professionals, this monitor is ideal for users who require reliable performance during extensive usage. Its robust connectivity options, including multiple HDMI and USB-C ports, cater to a variety of devices. However, those seeking advanced gaming features or extensive height adjustment may wish to consider higher-tier alternatives that focus specifically on these attributes. Overall, the X2797QSU-B1 offers a balanced blend of performance and professional aesthetics for everyday office tasks. What Makes It Different? The iiyama ProLite X2797QSU-B1 differentiates itself from many entry-level monitors by incorporating high-performance specifications typically found in more expensive models. The combination of a 120Hz refresh rate alongside 1ms response time enhances responsiveness, making it a capable choice for both business and casual gaming needs. Its feature set is tailored not just for daily office tasks but also caters to users who may enjoy light gaming during downtime, setting it apart from standard office-only monitors. Additionally, its built-in speakers eliminate the need for external audio solutions, which can clutter workspace setups. While this monitor is not height adjustable, its impressive array of ports ensures versatility in connectivity, allowing users to manage multiple devices easily—making it particularly suited for busy professionals who rely on a seamless workflow. Performance & Everyday Use With a generous screen size of 27 inches and a QHD resolution, the iiyama ProLite X2797QSU-B1 provides ample screen real estate for multitasking. Tasks such as data analysis, video conferencing, and content creation are enhanced by the clarity and richness of colours offered by the IPS panel. Its 120Hz refresh rate ensures smooth transitions and reduces motion blur, which can be particularly advantageous for users transitioning between different applications rapidly. For everyday tasks, the monitor supports a wide colour gamut of 16.7 million colours, ensuring that images and videos appear vivid and true to life. The low blue light and flicker-free technologies help reduce eye strain during extended use, making it a practical option for users who spend long hours in front of the screen, such as developers or designers. The additional built-in audio provides a basic yet functional solution for users who do not want to invest in external speakers. However, it's important to note that while this monitor excels in office tasks and moderate gaming, users seeking immersive gaming experiences may require devices with higher refresh rates and advanced features such as variable refresh rates or more ergonomic stands. The monitor's weight of 4.0 kg means it's relatively portable, but not as easy to adjust in height which might limit comfort for some users during long work sessions.
